Does anyone know where to get Long Term Care Insurance Quotes?
I found this site and it seems pretty good.

Medicare Insurance AZ staff answers:
You’ll need to contact an insurance agent/broker.
You can call the insurance companies directly, but they’ll most likely refer you to a local insurance agent/broker (you won’t save any money by going it alone since the rates are set according to the state you live in).
Go with one of the big companies (Genworth, MassMutual, John Hancock, MetLife).

Ruth asks…
How do I get a quote for Long Term Care Insurance?

Medicare Insurance AZ staff answers:
Contact a local broker. They’ll be able to answer any details about the plans, which can be very confusing, especially if you live in a partnership state. If you don’t know what that is, then it’s more of a reason to contact a broker. They can even work out discounts for you depending on what company they represent, and they won’t cost you anything to apply for the coverage through them.

I’m looking for an up-to-date self-help guide on how to buy long term health care insurance at the best possible quote and price.

Medicare Insurance AZ staff answers:
‘How To Buy Long Term Care Insurance’ by R. Reynolds, author of Long Term Care Buying Tips, is the best guide I’ve read so far.
It helps you cut through the maze of definitions, options & pitfalls of the long term care insurance market so that you can plan in advance and save on costly premiums.
Clear questionnaires and a free guide to nursing homes help you make a more informed decision about your long term insurance needs. With the rising health care costs and increased life expectancy, it’s an option worth considering for the sunset years.

Jenny asks…
Health care insurance?
Where do you get long term health care insurance quotes? Where do people get long term care health insurance quotes? I’ve come across many websites but was wondering if anyone has had any particularly good experiences.

Medicare Insurance AZ staff answers:
I come across http://top-usa-health-insurance-comparator.blogspot.com/ which appears to compare various health care providers that may can help you or visit a local independent agent that works with several of the better companies. There are many variations of long term policies and the agent will be able to explain the differences and can find the best policy for your situation and budget. There is no extra charge using an agent.

Robert asks…
My auntwas just contacted by a telemarketer about buying Long Term Care Home health insurance what is it?
they claimed they just wanted to come and show her what it is but never quoted any prices….is it for old people, is it expensive, is is worth it? WHO should have it?

Medicare Insurance AZ staff answers:
It is a policy to pay for nursing care in your aunts home. If your aunt can’t take care of herself the policy will pay a professional to do the things for her she can not do herself, such as: bathing, ambulating, feeding, toileting. In short if she can’t take care of herself and somebody needs to help her.
The policy is not just for old people, the younger you are the less expensive the cost. Most people think it is expensive and as for if it is worth it, depending where you live skilled nursing and home care can cost as much as $5,000 per month less if you choose to be admitted to an area out of the metropolitan areas. California costs are high. Call a home care specialist in your area to determine the daily cost.
As for who should have it. If there are genetic problems in her family I would consider it, thoughtfully. Otherwise, it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. If your aunt wants to leave an inheritance to her family, yes get it, otherwise sell her property to pay for her care or you can take care of her, not a good idea!
